Barefoot Technologies, a provider of browser-based reservation and asset management systems in the vacation rental industry, and PackLate.com, a last minute vacation rental marketplace with deals on over 5,000 properties in 24 destinations, today announced a new partnership.
Now, clients using the Barefoot software have the opportunity to directly integrate their property details, availability, and rates with PackLate to increase bookings of last minute inventory.
This relationship provides Barefoot customers a tool to fill vacant rental homes at the last minute, which in turn leads to more profit for vacation rental managers. PackLate, founded in 2009, allows prospective consumers to browse for vacation rental properties and book last minute at a great price. All PackLate inventory shows 100% up-to-date availability information and can be booked online with a major credit card, alleviating the frustration consumers have with making inquiries on rent-by-owner listing sites and endlessly waiting for owner responses.
This new partnership provides Barefoot users with real-time integration and no extra work for their back-office staff. When property managers make a booking in Barefoot, the inventory disappears from Packlate. When PackLate generates an online confirmed booking, the booking instantly appears in the property manager’s system. The customer wins as they get a secure, fast, credit card-based hotel style booking experience and the property manager wins as they drive revenue from excess nights with no additional effort.
“Last minute inventory is an issue for all lodging businesses,” says Ed Ulmer, director of business development, Barefoot. “PackLate now allows vacation rental companies a tool to compete with other lodging segments and take advantage of our uniqueness, I am thrilled to offer this solution to our clients.” Steve Barsh, CEO of PackLate, went on to say ”With nearly 50 property managers already taking advantage of PackLate, we’re excited to extend our seamless functionality to Barefoot users so they can increase revenue and bookings from perishable inventory. Everyone wins.”
