Rentalo.com, the leading online vacation rental directory, has banished any fears with their new “Worry Free” Lodging Guarantee. According to Rentalo.com, some travelers are still leery about committing themselves to the unknown associated with booking a vacation rental. With its new guarantee, Rentalo.com now claims to allow travelers to book an apartment or villa with full confidence The free guarantee provides up to $5,000 of payment protection.

“Rentalo is among the few vacation rental directories and hotel reservation sites offering such a guarantee,” says president Alfredo Purriños.
In order to be eligible, travelers must register their reservation before paying the booking fee for the vacation rental by either credit card or PayPal. If the vacation rental property doesn’t exist, or if the renter is wrongfully denied access to the property, Rentalo will refund the reservation payment up to $5,000.
Rentalo.com follows suit HomeAway.com’s introduction of its “HomeAway Rental Guarantee“, which it introduced in September 2007. HomeAway claims to guarantee all unrefunded payments made to the property owner also up to $5,000. In the event that a listing is determined not to be legitimate in accordance with our policy, HomeAway claims to reimburse the renter for actual amounts paid to the owner (up to $5,000).
